Scrunchies.

The ultimate hair accessory.

Everything you need to know about scrunchies.

Whether you’re looking to add colour, texture, a print or you keep it simple with silk, a scrunchie is your ultimate fashion hair accessory.

Scrunchies? Yes, Please!

Fun fact, scrunchies were actually invented in the 1960’s, however they didn’t gain their cult status until the late 80’s and early 90’s. The second fun scrunchie fact; in France they are called a chouchou. How cute! Ok, the facts are finished now, onto more important things.

Scrunchies are such a great alternative to the ‘standard’ hair tie, they cause less breakage and no kinks, especially when they are crafted from luxe silk! But our favourite part about a scrunchie, the options! There really is not any reason to not have a scrunchie wardrobe for your hair, they add the perfect amount of pop in the easiest way, I mean, you were tying your hair up anyway, right?!

From knits to faux suede, satin, and silk, even corduroy, and so many amazing colours to choose from, there is a scrunchie for everyone and every outfit. Traditionally in the 80’s and 90’s, scrunchies were bright, huge, neon and shiny, sometimes, all of the above all at once (you really have to love the 80’s for that one). Now, you can still rock that neon scrunchie if that is what you are into, or you can also choose more subtle versions of the beloved scrunchie. Our fave? The silk scrunchie. Perfect for day or night, no kinking, snapping, pulling or tugging while still holding your style firmly, a silk scrunchie has to be a girls best friend cause there is really nothing worse than taking your hair out at the end of the day and having a huge kink and a chunk of hair caught in your hair tie.

Our hot tip, loosely braid or plait your hair before bed and secure with a silk scrunchie. Wake up in the morning slightly waved, minus the kinks! You’ll thank us for that one, so… you are so welcome!
